Apple Dumplings


1 large Granny Smith apple, peeled
1 can crescent rolls, 8 count
1 cup sugar
1 stick margarine
1 cup orange juice
1 teaspoon vanilla flavoring

Unroll rolls. Wrap each piece of apple in a roll and place in a greased casserole. Heat the sugar, oleo, orange juice and vanilla in a saucepan until sugar is dissolved.

Pour mixture over apples and bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees.

When finished cooking, put each apple on plate and spoon sauce over them. It can be topped with whipped topping or ice cream.

Preparation: 10 minutes to prepare, 30 minutes to bake

Serves 8
